advertisedName
The Bonjour instance name this device is actually advertising right now, or null while unknown (#2420).
It is not the name startListening was asked for. mDNS resolves an instance-name collision by renaming the later advertiser — alice becomes alice (2) — and the rename lands on a callback, after the listener is already up. So the requested name is what this peer meant to publish and this is what a browser will actually see, and they come apart exactly in the case that matters: a dial armed for the requested name then resolves to whoever else is holding it (#2416). In the 2026-08-15 two-phone session the rename landed 6 s after the fatal dial and was visible only from the other handset, because nothing on the renamed device was watching for it.
Modelled as latest-value StateFlow for the same reason listenerState is: "what am I called?" is a level. Defaults to a never-updated null so a binding that has not wired nw_listener_set_advertised_endpoint_changed_handler (the JVM bridge, the fakes that model no listener) inherits "unknown" — which is deliberately NOT the same as "not renamed", and the formation dump renders it as ? rather than claiming agreement. RealNwApi (appleMain) drives it.
